Challenge 25
Challenge 25 is a scheme that encourages anyone who is over
18 but looks under 25 to carry acceptable ID when they want to buy alcohol.
ID for alcohol: proving your age
Acceptable forms of ID for entry and purchasing alcohol

A photo driving licence/provisional

A valid and in date passport

Citizen Card/Validate UK
From the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme.
Citizen Cards are available from:
(It’s a criminal offence to use false or borrowed ID to gain entry to licensed premises or to buy alcohol. Id’s will be handed to the police)
Not Accepted

Birth Certificate – Not Photo ID

Photocopy or Images of ID – Can be replicated

Out of Date Passport – i.e Out of date junior image

NUS/Student-College Cards – Can be fraudulently purchased or replicated
Please note: Any persons which appear to be too intoxicated or deemed to be under the influence of mind altering substances will be refused entry.
Student Nights
Proof of ID is required for entry for 16 and overs.
